A great success story for AKW Equipment + Process Design
We are proud to announce that, for the third time, a major silica sand industrial player awarded AKW Equipment + Process Design with a new order for a silica sand washing plant !
This new contract covers the supply of a comprehensive turnkey sand processing unit that includes wet sand beneficiation, silo storage as well as sludge treatment. This plant will hold a capacity of 80 tph input material, to produce silica sand aimed at serving the glass industry, with a controlled level of Fe2O3. This new plant is due for commissioning in the course of 2017.
After 2 previous realizations executed in the years 2009 and 2010, our Group got once again assigned to construct this third unit. This new unit shows a greater level of complexity, and includes new requirements that have been discussed and agreed upon between the two parties. “The quality level of the discussions held between our group and the customer have made such new deal possible. As the market requires tougher requirements on environmental compliance and the glass producers call for more uniform products we have designed a unique concept that can fulfill the targets from our partner”, indicated Mr. Roland BIESEN Sales Engineer at AKW Equipment + Process Design.
