AKW Equipment + Process Designs technology continues to support China´s greener footprint
For the second time in less than 6 months, AKW Equipment + Process Design and his local partners have been awarded with the EPC of a new city sewage sludge treatment plant.
This new plant, that is due for commissioning in the middle of 2017, will be the second of its type in China.
Based on a full engineering developed by the headquarter in Hirschau, the scope of supply is split into 3 parts : the key and critical equipment are being sourced from Germany, while other mechanical treatment elements (box feeder, washing drum, attrition, thickener), are being directly produced in China by AKW Equipment + Process Design´s local company (SAKW). All flow control and associated equipment as well as foundations and steel structure will be directly organized by the customer based on AKW Equipment + Process Design engineering.
“We were optimistic to be granted with this contract”, mentioned Thibaut Richard, GM of the Hirschau based company, “but as it often happens in China we eventually were caught by surprise as all got finalized all of a sudden! We are very pleased with this news which clearly position us as a strong actor in China, a country where we expect to benefit from the everyday growing environment awareness. By the middle of the year, we will be able to show to our Chinese prospects 2 reference plants that share a core process but also have own and specific particularities. Such achievements also demonstrate the capabilities of our group to adapt and think different, so as to match local and different project management approaches”, underlined Thibaut Richard.
