New ERP-System – Increasing of Efficiency
Easy access to complete customer overview, tracking of the projects over their lifetime, systematic tracking of key projects, immediate access to inventories levels, good sales analysis capabilities and a thorough integration of financial figures are critical success factors in business management.
In order to answer to markets change that require more reactivity and closer follow up, AKW Equipment + Process Design triggered in 2015 a project aimed at “setting up and implementing a first class ERP system”, with the goal to increase the performance of our internal processes and hence improving our customer satisfaction.
After nearly 6 months the system – including all requirements – was set up, implemented and ready to replace the previous one.
“It was an intense job to find the best solution, and not always easy due to our special business field and its characteristics.
We have only few standard solutions or equipment, as we aim at providing customers with individual solutions that suit their specific needs. Therefore no standard ERP system was really fitting to our requirements. But at the end, with the great support of all departments, it is a project which we can today close with success!”, stated Marc Schultz (Head of IT).
“After some months of live experience, we can witness that the team has adopted the new system. We witness increases in efficiencies and our working processes are going faster. We will continue monitoring the system in the coming month, and the implementation of some additional modules is already in the pipe … because greater efficiency does not only matter for us, but also for our customers”, added Thibaut Richard (GM).
